    Description

I love this little Beetle and will regret selling but a few cars need to go! I purchased this one from the second owner. She bought it when she was a teenager and kept it until she retired! She took good care of it and her husband rebuilt the engine and had the interior redone before he passed away. He did good work and she thought he may have installed a big bore kit. It does seem very peppy so I believe it. Everything works great. Suspension and brakes feel good. The generator is a 12 volt from a Porsche 912. I also have rear side pop-out windows that are ready to go in.
The body is very clean and the Pearl White paint is mostly original. I say mostly because the taillight buckets appear to be resprayed. Very nice patina that could never be recreated.
The underside is rust-free. It does appear the area right below the battery was cut out and repaired. The Brick Red upholstery looks great! The steering wheel is new, as are the mats. The headliner and rear door panels appear to be originals. The running boards are new in the correct color from Wolfsburg West.
That's all great but the most exciting part could be the Judson Supercharger! I found a complete kit from a guy who said that it was installed in a Karman Ghia back in the sixties when the first owner was stationed in Germany. When he came back to the States he left the car but carefully removed the supercharger and brought it home with him. Unfortunately, he never bought another VW to install it on. The good part is that it was still like brand new when I received it! The kit included the Marvel Mystery oiler and a rare oil cooler/Fram filter setup. Very cool period parts that are hard to find in good condition. I also fitted a 12 volt generator from a
    Porsche
    912. After installing the supercharger and fine tuning everything, it transformed the car! The supercharger adds a lot of power and makes the car feel a lot quicker. Judson sold more superchargers to Beetle owners than anyone else and I can see why. It's a nice power upgrade and it looks even cooler back there when you lift the deck lid. I'd better stop now before I talk myself out of selling it! I looked for years to find a nice original Beetle and always wanted one with a Judson Supercharger. Hopefully, the next owner loves the car as much as I do and is able to take good care of it.
