    Description

The following is the description from when I purchased this car six years ago.  Only a few hundred miles have since been added.
    Cal style bug.
Lowered by a few inches. Handles very well. Very responsive.
Body off restoration. This is a top of the line restoration. I have been building and working on Bugs for more than 30 years (ASE Master Tech).
Completely rebuilt the pan. New Wolfsburg West pans were welded in, followed by a regiment of POR15. Dynamat sound proofing added to that.
All rust was cut out of the body panels and new metal was welded in. Body was then primed and painted, inside and out.
Interior is all new, headliner, carpet, seat covers, dash, steering wheel, e brake boot, door seal, window seals, handle seals. All new rubber everywhere.
One piece windows work and seal out the elements. Installed dual lift window regulators and spent a few weeks tuning them to perfection. New felt channel and window scrappers.
    Rear side windows pop out.
The ragtop was restored. Rebuilt internal eccentric gear.
Brakes have been updated to front disc brakes from a Karmen Ghia. All new hoses and fluid.
Transmission was rebuilt. Freeway flyer from KDR. It has a 4.12 R&P, with a .82 fourth gear.
    Gene Berg shifter.
Engine is a stock single port 1600. Runs great! I did nothing to it except get rid of the 009 and install a stock distributor. No more flat spot on acceleration!
Electrical has all been completely gone through. Everything works as it was designed.
2 speakers at side wall under dash. 2 speaker in rear package tray. 1- 12 inch subwoofer.
CV Joints have been cleaned and lubed, all new boots. All new tie rod ends. All new balljoint boots and grease.
Tires are fairly new. About 500 miles on them.

Correction.  Damage is on the right fender, not left.
