1972 Ford Bronco 302 V8
Built as a direct competitor to the International Scout, the original Ford Bronco was initially offered in three cab types: a wagon, a pickup (discontinued after 1972), and an open model with cut-out filler panels instead of doors, to come off something as a big CJ-5. The four-wheel-drive Bronco earned a loyal following from new. Interest increased in the central plains states and the American west, while they also disappeared rapidly from the northern states, being a good platform for a small snowplow and the perfect get-around vehicle in the winter.
Engine choices were limited to a 170-cid inline six-cylinder and a 289-cid V-8 during the model’s first year of production, and a 302-cid appeared in 1969. Otherwise, minimal changes to functionality or cosmetics were made during the truck’s 12-year run.
Though popular, the Bronco didn’t have wide-spread utility or mass appeal and production figures weren’t as high as survivorship might lead one to believe. Although the open Broncos are the rarest, they aren’t collectors’ top choice since they are fair weather friends. Instead, the wagons are the most prized.
We are excited to offer this stunning and fully restored 1972 Ford Bronco. The 1972 Ford Bronco presented here was built on February 24 of 1972. It has the 3-speed transmission on the column and has four-wheel drive. This Bronco Wagon was previously restored and with the correct 302 V8 engine. It was finished in Red with a Wimbledon White Removable Hardtop with matching fenders flares with white interior. There had been several driving upgrades installed which make this Bronco a wonderful and reliable driver. The paint is excellent and the interior is exceptional as well. This Ford Bronco has no rust and is solid throughout. There were numerous driving upgrades previously installed during the restoration, including but not limited to a better cooling system with an overflow tank, a Holley Performance Carburetor, a Performance exhaust with an incredible sound, and larger polished wheels and with MT 305/70/R16 Buckshot Maxxis Mudder Tires. Furthermore, we had a new starter installed, restored the fender flares, installed Borgeson power steering, a 15” Wooden Steering Wheel with Chrome slots, new axle seals and a differential seal. In addition, we coated the exhaust manifolds, polished the entire truck, degreased, installed seat belts and cleaned the engine bay. This wonderful Bronco is ready for adventures or to enjoy around town.
