Vehicle DetailsThis collector quality 1978 Bronco XLT is an amazing survivor Bronco! This Truck has had a pampered life and has been a gentlemens Bronco, professionally taken care of since the day it was new. It has traveled 84,000 documented miles and comes with a folder of books and records. Fortunately, it has also resided in the dry climates of Colorado and Kansas since new and rust is a non issue. Wearing some of its original paint, it is obvious that it spent most of its 43 years being sheltered and pampered!! Some paint took place after reported hail damage years ago. It has been tastefully maintained and repaired over the years with factory original parts and has not been modified aside from a set of KC fog lights installed in the 1970s (they are there for looks only and are not connected to a switch at this time or ever from what I can tell). This vehicle is a turn key classic truck, ready to drive and enjoy vehicle and turn heads wherever you go. Driving experience… Close the door and the sound of 1978 Ford truck quality is obvious. Look around and notice the original carpeting remains throughout and is in good condition. No unusual smells are present!! (no smoking no pets ever). The Indian blanket upholstered bucket seats are comfy and operate/fold as they should. Put the key in the ignition; the 400 starts easily and sounds powerful and fast with dual exhaust flowing through glass pack mufflers. No smoke or unusual noises from under the hood. The emissions system is operational and a brand new EGR valve, easily passing the required strict Colorado Air Quality emissions test. Once its running, you will find the automatic transmission shifts into and through every gear just as it was designed… Nice shifts! Down the road it goes, straight as an arrow when you let go of the wheel.. It is obvious it has not seen hard use or abuse. No shimmy or wobbles at any speed. It’s a very solid and quite ride, just as Ford bragged about in 1978! The truck does not have any squeaks or rattles! Looking through nice clear glass all around, you can turn on the factory A/C, AM/FM radio, or any accessory and they all work!! Even the overhead light and passenger visor light. Specs and options: Ranger XLT package, factory 2 tone deluxe paint (black and silver), 400 2V V8, automatic, 3.50 limited slip axle, Power steering and brakes, tilt steering (though it can be hard get it to tilt), cruise control is in place (but due to the sport steering wheel, the controls are not provided), optional sport steering wheel, Air Conditioning, privacy glass, console, increased capacity fuel tank, 5, stock 10-hole aluminum wheels, swing away spare tire and factory original tire cover. A Specialty Top Co SOFT TOP!! That’s right, take the hardtop off and you can have a convertible!! It was installed by prior owner for extra fun in the summer time! I have not taken the hardtop off but I will include the softtop in the deal. Recent repairs and upgrades: I don’t like leaks of any kind.. I had the transfer case and engine resealed with new gaskets and seals, axle seals, timing cover, new timing chain, new water pump, new orginal style copper radiator (not aluminum), fluid changes, engine and transmission mounts, freeze plugs and tune up. Within the last 3000 miles, fuel sending unit, driveshaft, ball joints/front end parts, and battery. The new set of 5, 31” BFG All Terrain Tires make it look awesome!!The truck needs nothing… its ready to go. It was not built up quickly for a flip in a hot market. It is a very nice, straight vehicle and looks as good as it drives. This Bronco is sold as is with no warranty expressed. But, I have a 100 percent satisfaction rating on EBAY and have sold many vehicles, some even sent overseas. I can help with shipping but I am sure you could drive this cross country if you wanted. I am representing this truck as accurately as I can.. I know what its like to buy a car so I want to urge you to ask questions, come to Denver to look or test drive. I am not a dealer. I am a fellow classic car enthusiast who has seen a lot of beat up broncos in my time. none as unmolested and nice as this. Here is your chance to own what is one of the nicer looking, unrestored Broncos in the country. Again, please ask for more information or ask questions; I am a nice guy ready to show you this beautiful truck! Clean Colorado Title in my name. Marti Report available upon request.
