The ring is for most scopes which are in 25.4mm/30mm scope tube.To change the scope tube from 30mm to 25.4mm, you should only take away the inside ring. High profile, a gap from base of mount to bottom of rings.
With 2 clamp screw and 2 scope clamp screw per side, ensure mount any 1'' scope firmly, just twist off the nut and mount the base on the 20mm Picatinny easily.
