An absolutely adorable antique handmade novelty lamp, constructed largely of oyster shells held together with plaster of paris, with other shells (and a small porcelain bear!) added as accents. Retains original wiring, with small vintage tungsten-filament 'squirrel cage' bulb, with hefty on-cord power switch. Asymmetrical, and beautifully organic from every angle, provides a cosy warm soft glow, much like a night light. Perfect for a collector of shells, or for lighting an intimate bedside corner of a seaside cottage.
The lamp is larger than you might think; dimensions: base is 9" long x 5.5" wide, lamp is 8" high overall (those are some big oysters!). Cord is 54" long.
