  • Brand: Bourg
  • MPN: Na
  • Model: Bourg Collators 10bin x2 and Saddlestitcher Facetrimmer
  • Condition: BST 10D+ Collators: The collators are in good condition and are very well designed pieces of equipment. All trays tested on both towers and were found to be in working order. The screen functions with a mouse.BMe Bookletmaker and Trimmer: The booklet maker is fully functional, but shows ample signs of wear of some of the belts. The discretionary jam sensors have been deactivated (which is done in the software) to avoid false positives. We experienced very few issues with this machine when making more typically-sized booklets (8.5x5.5, 8.5x11, etc) but with smaller sizes that push the lower limit it becomes more difficult, though we still got good and consistent results. Folder bypass output tray has a slight bend that prevents certain thicknesses from exiting without operator's help, though still functional. Also, this has no implications for the systems use as a bookletmaker and only applies to documents not folding. All equipment furnished as-is.

    Description

This Bourg complete 2010 bookletmaker saddlestitch binder and collating system consists of five components:
    2 BST 10D+ Collators:
By far some of the most well-designed collators out there. Compared to Duplos and Horizons these collators had the fewest issues running and feeding consistently across a wide-variety of papers. It will feed a sheet down to 4.73" in width or as wide as 23.62" with very few jams. We were very happy with the collators and wish we could keep them, but they are really only of use to this unit. These collators are capable of feeding any number of patterns, skipping trays, feeding collated materials and separate covers all things to the program running on Windows XP. It is operated with a mouse.
    BMe Booklet Maker:
The bookletmaker is really three components. The stitcher, the knife folder, and the face trimmer. They all are setup and operated from on onboard touchscreen. It is very fast to set up and make fine-tuned adjustments with a few touches. It is designed to run inline with a copier, or offline with the collators. It is also designed to be able to set up left-to-right (as-is) or right-to-left. Maximum paper size is 23.62 x 14.67. Minimum paper size 7.09 x 4.73 in.

    Stitcher
: very few notes on the stitcher. The paper path is closed on the bottom which makes its very functional for all sort of material. The stitcher is capable of saddle-stitch with or without folding (it can output to an overpass tray), corner stitch, top-stitch, or not stitching at all and allowing the paper to feed to the downline components. This unit (and most out there) use two Honher 43/5 S stitchheads) Issues: The stitcher is in good condition.
    --
    Folder:
Folder is a single knife folder. It utilizes the same setup interface as the rest of the processes on the bookletmaker. As a matter of design it has different levels of consistency depending on the size, thickness and paper, but is very tolerant and was able to process more sheets per book than our Horizon bookletmaker.

    Trimmer:
The trimmer is well-designed and features a long, powered conveyer system with the capability to offset in various sets. Issues: temperamental on smaller sizes that push the lower-limits of what the machine is rated for. Includes: Extra blade.
    Stacker TD-D:
The simplest component we simply didn't have any use for. It draws power and turns on, but we simply never utilized it. It has no discernable issues. It installs on tower two, meaning that you can leave it installed without interfering in the bookletmaker off tower one.
We know quite a bit about this system and will also be including the service manuals, the service codes (for making operating tweaks to software)
