British Honduras KM23 Ten Cents 1944 NGC MS 61. Excessively rare grade for this year and missing in MS, the Stuart, Remick, Ford, Arielle and numerous other collections. Considering the aggregate number of years these collectors were active, the fact that a "61" is the highest available grade today should not be surprising. Only one other graded at this level and none better. This is also the only Mint State piece of that year we have seen in 50+ years of specializing in British Honduras coins. The coin is actually quite nice with its full original luster and very sharp strike. Only the light surface marks are the reason of the low number for an MS coin.
