    I have no clue exactly what this is I am selling- the reciept when the person i obtained this from was inside it- and as shown(and it will be included) appears it was purchased in 1983 for the sum of 125.00 in Bombay- at a store specializing in vintage European and Oriental works of art- it is up to the potential buyer to verify this is the case- I only can offer the limited information I'v available.  Certainly this is quite old- the top is pitted-my opinion might be a form of pewter??  Make me an offer if you like- or if you have information on what this is I am glad to learn!  Best to all-
