This very popular “Economy Mushroom Knob” has sold over 80 sets worldwide with this listing that has a 1&1/2 skirt / disc along with the
OTHER
listing that has a 1&5/8” skirt.
1ea Knob, & Skirt, & 8/32 Brass & Steel Screws Kit includes 1ea 1&1/4 wide by 3/4" tall Black Navy Style Mushroom Knob and 1 ea black Skirt / Disc measuring 1&1/2” in diameter made a little smaller than our larger discs to accommodate the bend in some key arms.
The Kit also includes BRASS & STEEL different length screws to accommodate different thickness key arms. Please note one screw is shipped installed in the Knob for you.
Use this Kit to replace missing or old, worn, or broken Key Knobs and Skirts, or to refurbish your J38, Navy Flameproof type keys, and other keys with 8/32 threading which is the threading on the screws supplied with this kit.
On J-37 Keys check with a 8/32 screw if the Key Arm is 8/32 as some are 8/32 and some are something else.
Please note if your Key has other threading you can crank a different thread screw in that you lube with soap. Depending on your different screw threading the resistance when you crank the screw in will vary.
