This mount replaces the rear sight on your 1911 slide.
This mount fits the standard 1911 dovetail cut normally called the GI cut. The dovetail width at the widest point is .353 and the sight width is usually around .330-.335.
This mount will not fit any other 1911 style pistol. It will not fit Novak cuts. It will not fit adjustable sight cuts or any other style 1911 cut. Please know what you are ordering!
Includes 2 set screws (and hex wrench) to properly and securely hold the optic mount to your 1911 slide.

™ Low mount to keep your red dot as close as possible to the barrel bore centerline. Each mount is  Military Spec Type III Hard Coat Anodized in a smooth black finish. Perfect mount for the Ultradot LT, Ultradot Pan-A-V or other famous open style red dot sights.  Measuring 2.25 inches in overall length with four .1875" wide .075" deep slots spaced .394 inches apart (centerline)
weighing in at only half an ounce.
Simply use a soft tool to drift this mount into your
1911 pistols rear sight cut, align in the center of your slide and secure with the 2 set screws.
This mount is machined for a snug fit but two allen type set screws are provided for extra holding power and security.  The allen (hex) type set screws are oval point and will not mar or mark the surface of the slide. An allen (hex) wrench is included with the mount.  The mount sits very close to the top of the pistols slide. Satisfaction Guaranteed!

The optic mount will slide into the dovetail cut by hand roughly 1/3 the way in, the mount can then be easily pressed or drifted in the rest of the way.   No modification to the pistol or mount is required, it is machined for an easy and precise fit.  Manufactured to weaver/picatinny specifications.
