Description
For Auction:A FAIR, but reuseable 1930's Contact Wedge often used to parallel connect a telegraphers bug to a standard straight key. Made either by or for WU. These were used to parallel with a set of relay points or lever switch contacts. The architecture accommodated the wedge being inserted under a curved spring plate on the standard telegraph key of the day (think AT&T No 2 key). Which influenced which is a curious tale. Only history knows which came first. If straight keys have anything to say for the issue it is that they started the use.
Condition:
FAIR, reuseable. If carefully disassembled a replacement cloth cord could be reattached. We leave this chore fore the new owner.
