Found in a Nashua home in southern NH, this wonderful early-mid 20th c period composition doll had only 1 owner & never left the home it was found in. It's without any visible damage, less a sm tear on the back of the dyed linen headdress & some minor crazing of the enml pnt on the face, hands & limbs. There's some minor-mod crazing & subsequent paint loss on the int torso, hidden by the dress. The eyelids still move freely up & down & the limbs aren't seized or affixed into place. The nun's habit is hand dyed in charcoal blk, rich deep chocolate brown & nat linen color. The hands are intact & there's no loss on the quite delicate fingers of either hand. The lips & eyebrows are both hnd pntd. This is a simply adorable & scarce American early-mid 20th c composition doll feat a nun in full habit w/trad headdress. A really wonderful early doll in well-cared for vint cond. Absolutely terrific. Very, very nice. Clean.

The hands are intact and there's no loss of material on the quite delicate fingers of either hand. Only the paint is perhaps slightly disturbed on the very tips of the fingers.
