The Legend, the Myth, The American softball ICON!!!! The - original OG Miken ULTRA -. I have owned this for almost a decade. This is the 27/34 Maxload and swings VERY nicely.
See last image describing the differences and dates of manufacture between the true "bubble knob" OG and "basic" early Ultra II s....painted as Ultras with flat knob stickers.
This OG Miken ULTRA is in excellent condition, with only minor scuffs. See all pics. It has the definitive RECESSED BUBBLE KNOB.
When I acquired it years ago, I pulled the grip to confirm manufacturing numbers (see image)....It was made in America June 11, 2002. The rubberized end cap is marked "W" to indicate that the first bat was returned for W-arranty replacement and a NEW bat was issued, this one. Its scaled weight is 28.2 ounces, Mikens were almost always over their claimed weights...
NIW bats are great for collecting,....but If you want to experience HITTING the Legend you probably don't want to pull the wrapper off of a Museum piece and ruin its untouched status....
....Warning: ALL your friends will want to see and hold it,...you then have to decide whether they are GOOD enough friends....to SWING it!!!!
