Vintage WWII US Military Lionel J38 telegraph Morse code ham radio key NAVY knob

For auction is a vintage, WWII era US Military Lionel J-38 telegraph Morse code hand key with it's original NAVY style knob. Item being sold as found and has not been cleaned, cleaning will be left to the winning bidder if they choose to do so. Item is from a smoke free home. Please see all pictures as they are part of this description. Item is in excellent overall condition, but does show some areas of wear/age. Item is intact and functioning, but has not been tested and/or transmitted with since removal from collection. Item retains it's original Lionel markings on it's actual Morse code key base and also includes it's original US Military stamped marking(s) on the underside of it's base as picture three indicates. Both the NAVY style knob and shorting lever knob are intact and original. Item also includes it's original shorting lever, which does function and slides both ways correctly. Item does include all of it's matching, knurled metal parts as well. All original screws appear to be also included. As previously mentioned and shown, all parts appear to be original. It is not very often these Lionel J-38 hand keys show up with every original part including the knob(s) and bottom marking(s). Item may need adjustment by the winning bidder to fit their style of sending. Whether left as is or given some TLC, this key is one of the most sought after US Military, vintage telegraph keys. Item surely has much potential to be a great addition to your CW ham radio station and/or Morse code key assortment.
