The D3 FULTON ST. ID Tag dates it to 1926 which makes it ABOUT 95 years old

MOSTLY G00D
for a bug that is 95 years old, with MOST parts original
(1) the plated screws, nuts, sending arm & other plated top parts are clean & look M0STLY G00D with many blemishes & wear. The dot & dash contact screws & nuts are newer VIBROPLEX parts. The spring tension screw is a vintage replacement. (2) the black lacquer finish on top looks G00D, with minor blemishes and some pinstripes visible. (3) the bottom of the iron base, hardware & finish look G00D with minor blemishes and wear, but one of the continuity strips has minor rust damage. The sticky new rubber feet look VERY G00D & will keep this bug from sliding around. (4) the
vintage
black knobs look MOSTLY G00D with minor blemishes & scratches + a chip on the flat dot paddle. (5) the D3 ID tag is clean & easy to read, but has many small dents (6) the non-VIBROPLEX weight looks M0STLY G00D (7) the LANDLINE WEDGE LOOKS G00D, but the cloth cord is stiff

MALFUNCTIONS:
When this bug
became part of my collection, it was disassembled, cleaned & all parts were lubricated. I replaced some of the knurled screws/nuts. It was recently tested on the air & sends nicely
. (1) The damper arm is slightly bent, but this does not create any operational problems or appearance (2) the dark tarnished ID tag was cleaned, polished & clear coated for protection (3) the sending action, as with all VIBROPLEX ORIGINAL bugs is VERY G00D (4) the large brass weight slows it down to about 16 wpm. With only a small weight, it would be a real speed freak. (4) the tarnish was removed from the WEDGE & continuity was tested.
This FULTON ST. ORIGINAL with LANDLINE WEDGE Is Ready to USE . It will make an 0UTSTANDING ADDITION to ANY KEY/BUG COLLECTION, or for daily use.
COMMENTS:
EVERY
VIBROPLEX bug collection should have a FULTON ST. bug. Although this one is NOT PERFECT, it is very representative of a 1920's much used bug & still has many decades of life left in it. AND IT INCLUDES A LANDLINE WEDGE WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN USED IN RAILROAD or OTHER TELEGRAPH SERVICE :->
